The Nigerian Academy of Science convened the 1st NAS Annual Scientific Conference

The Nigerian Academy of Science convened the 1st NAS Annual Scientific Conference, which took place on the 4th and 5th of February, 2020 at the Multipurpose Hall, University of Lagos, Akoka. The conference, themed “The Role of Science in attaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) featured a few invited presentations, alongside several oral and poster presentations of original research. The conference was framed around five sub-themes as follows: science for poverty reduction; revitalizing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education; innovations for health; energy solutions and environmental sustainability; and ensuring food security in Nigeria. Each session of the conference featured a lead presentation by an expert on the respective sub-theme, followed by oral presentations of original research.
