Professor Braide Emerges First Female President, Nigerian Academy Of Science
The Nigerian Academy of Science (NAS) at the end of its virtual Annual General Meeting, on Thursday, inducted Professor Ekanem Ikpi Braide as President of the Academy.
A statement made available to Daily Independent by Dr Oladoyin Odubanjo, NAS Executive Secretary stated that Braide, as the 19th President of the Academy, becomes the Academy’s first female President in 44 years of existence.
Professor Braide, a professor of Parasitology/Epidemiology and member of the national committee that achieved the laudable feat of guinea worm eradication in Nigeria has vast professional experience as a researcher and administrator. Read more
