300 scientists hold conference on Sustainable Development Goals in Lagos
About 300 scientists will gather on February 4 and 5, 2020, at the Multipurpose Hall, University of Lagos, for the 1st Nigerian Academy of Science, NAS, Scientific Conference with the theme “The Role of Science in Attaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”
The conference, according to a statement by Dr. M. Oladoyin Odubanjo, Executive Secretary of NAS, is framed around five sub-themes as follows:
Science for poverty reduction
Revitalizing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education
Innovations for health
Energy solutions and environmental sustainability
Ensuring food security in Nigeria.
The conference, the statement said further, would feature a few invited presentations, alongside several oral and poster presentations of original research. Read more
